I guess it ultimately depends on what body style truck you're looking for.Go fast, get huge air and do crazy power slides! Just like the real thing That said, you can throw the Rustler 4x4 tires on a Slash and get awesome all terrain performance too. You can't go wrong with a Slash 4x4 or a Rustler 4x4 (my current favorite), but as the best overall package you can't beat the Hoss. It costs a little bit more, but again, way cheaper than upgrading to the same setup after the fact. It's basically a lifted Rustler 4x4 with a better motor. It comes with a huge motor that won't overheat, and big Sledgehammer tires. ![]() The Hoss is really the best option of the lot. The stampede 4x4 is technically discontinued but parts are shared between all models and will be available forever. The 4x4 versions are so much more capable off-road, but the 2wd can be a lot of fun and are cheaper and easier to work on. By the time you've realized that, it'll cost you more to upgrade than it would've been to buy the right one in the first place. I promise that you will think the brushed version is too slow and the first thing you'll be asking is how can I make it faster. Regardless of what you get, buy the brushless version.
